The hotel is close to a train station. It made trips easy!!! nara, fushimi inari, arashiyama forest, and kinkaku-ji are all accessible. the location also provides options for shopping and eating near gion street and the city centre. our twin bed room had space for luggage and a tiny balcony for fresh air.
I could hear everything outside my door. The first room by the entrance had a lot of noise. people from outside can hear into the room, so there is no privacy.

The Japanese-style triple room was well-designed maximizing the space. The shower and tub had great water pressure. The location was perfect for exploring many temples and the gion-shijo station was nearby.
The lack of daily room cleaning was a minor inconvenience the room was serviced only twice
